Description
The Short-eared Owl has tufts that may or may not be visible. The tufts are not actually ears but feathers resembling mammalian ears. These ear tufts are usually displayed when the owl is in a defensive pose. They like open terrain such as prairies and are active during daylight and evening which makes them easier to see. This is a black and white representation done on scratchboard.
